The region formed by the states of Maranhão, Piauí, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe and Bahia has developed its own habits in relation to the world and to cultural events inherited from generation to generation.
The culture of Northeast has inherited characteristics from the interaction of the portuguese colonizers', africans' and indians' culture and it is very diverse. Some exemples are: Frevo, Capoeira, June festivals, Reisado, Region crafts and etc.
